Lambert Instruments develops highly sensitive measurement systems based on cameras equipped with image intensifiers. One of our key products is a Fluorescence Lifetime Imaging Microscopy system, which can determine the fluorescence lifetime of molecules with a time resolution of tens of picoseconds. By looking at fluorescent proteins in living cells with a microscope equipped with our FLIM system, our customers can study the processes responsible for the development of different kinds of diseases, of which cancer is one example. That is why our FLIM systems can be found mainly in cell biology, molecular biology and biomedical research labs across the globe.
We have internship positions for enthusiastic & motivated students with an interest in biomedical technology. You will work as part of our team of about 10 skilled engineers on smaller or larger FLIM-related projects, such as:
- Characterization of electro-optical measurement devices, of new variants of our FLIM product, of new light sources
- Automating measurements using Matlab scripting or other means
- Post-processing of fluorescence lifetime data
You are:
- Capable of working independently and meticulously on a problem
- Motivated to get to the bottom of things in case of 'weird' measurement results
- Preferably comfortable with programming in Matlab
- Not afraid to work with microscopes and sensitive electronic equipment
Having a driver's license is not a requirement for this internship position.
